When supporting older road users, your role is to be supportive, informative, and helpful. When working with an older person on their transportation plan, it is helpful to start this process early. Starting early allows older road users to be active in the process and consider a variety of options. This planning can enable the older adult to remain driving and independent for as long as possible.
