ChORUS joins the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and other partners in recognizing Older Americans Month this May. The 2024 theme is "Powered by Connections," which recognizes the profound impact of meaningful relationships and social connection on health and well-being. Transportation is a way most people stay connected in their community, making it important to include traffic safety during Older Americans Month.
It is also important for those who engage with older drivers to know about age-related changes that may affect an individual's driving ability. In support of Older Americans Month, below are resources to help caregivers, family members, state driver licensing agencies, law enforcement, medical professionals, and social and aging service providers address safety among older drivers.
